Jean Russon Peters, the Lead Designer for Custom Wine Cellars Miami, has a passion for interior design and décor incorporated with an appreciation of wine.

Bringing together these passions is what led him to his current role.

In 2006, Jean caught the wine bug when he spent the summer backpacking across Italy, discovering a keen interest in slow food and great wine. After visiting dozens of wineries and producers and tasting hundreds of wines, from Alto Adige down to Sicily, Jean returned to the U.S. and decided to take his interest in wine to the next level. He spent the next several years diving deeper into the world of wine, completing his WSET (Wine Spirits Education Trust) certification and learning everything he could about wine, winemaking, and wine storage.

More About Jean

Prior to joining the Miami wine cellar design team, Jean worked as a boutique interior designer assisting with a variety of duties ranging from account management to staging to creating inviting spaces for clients.

With Jean’s extensive design knowledge associated with proper wine storage, he also served as a consultant on several large wine cellar projects. His managerial career began in the medical field as an office manager where he excelled in the organization, account management, and customer relations.

On joining Custom Wine Cellars Florida, Jean has quickly became the lead consultant and designer for both commercial and residential wine storage and display projects. Jean’s primary goal is to create high-end wine cellars reflecting focused and personalized style along with exceptional functionality, guiding her clients every step of the way. Jean is passionate about providing a beautifully finished product—from consultation to creation, to construction.

Jean originally hails from San Antonio, Texas. He is a consummate professional, exuding a positive and uplifting personality. When he is not designing stunning wine cellars for her clients, you can find him exploring wineries or checking out the best new restaurants in town.
